She just stood there admiring the lake, the birds, the soft winds embrace on her cold shoulders, it was Autumn and the weather was simply awful, this terrible heatwave had been going on for a few days now it was almost impossible to sleep at night withouth proper ventilation.
She watched as a family of swans swam in the lake in front of her, there where a total of five of them. She had started to sweat again, she hated that, she had just taken a shower like an hour ago but already had her body started to sweat, she swore under her breath. The girl was wearing a school costume despite now standing outside the school ground for some privacy, even her maids had no idea where she was. She took a deep breath as she pulled her arm up to her shirt, waving her tight T-shirt a bit to cool her down. If i just take it off for a bit no one`s gonna notice... She said to herself in a hushed voice. Almost as if expecting someone to jump out of the tall grass or some of the bushes any second.
She stepped up towards the lake, and untied her necklace around her neck and squeezed it into her breast pocket in her jacket. Immidietly she could feel the difference as the air around her got colder, the sand below her feet froze solid in an instant. She sighed relieved, she stepped forward and walked into the surface of the water, holding her leg out carefully for the first step, the surface instantly froze, she giggled a bit as she started running across the surface of the lake freezing it solid over a bigger and bigger patch as she moved around over it, she watched the swans scoot off to the other side of the lake.
She grinned a bit in with a determined look, she had an idea pop into her head, she slammed her right leg hard into the icy surface and the whole lake quickly started to freeze over, shifting the temperature in the immidiet area by several dozen degrees. A lot of the shore was frozen over too. She was glad that the swans made it out okay too.
Next she appeared to have grown a few inches taller, this was because she had attached "ice" skaters under her feet, they too made of ice, naturally. So she started to soar on the ice, doing backflips, tornadoes, and most notably singing a song while she did it.
Sing me a song... She started carefully, still afraid that someone would hear her sing, gradually however her voice would increase in volume. of a lass that is gone. She increased her speed before a pirouette in mid air, then landed gracefully on her feet, continuing the ride. Say could that lass be i?... Merry of soul she sailed on a day. Over the sea to sky. She continued her graceful dance like a performance all the while singing the song her mother used to sing to her when she went to sleep.
Mull was astem, rum on the port, Eigg on the starboard bow. Glory of youth glowed in his soul, where is that glory now? She repeated the first verse of the song again as she made a final flip and came to a halt, panting as she breathed in quick gasps, her breath formed in small clouds due to the cold, but she could never feel the cold, unless she wore the necklace.
She gave a nervous laugh, she intended to keep singing the song she had started. Her clothes had frozen solid, clear because of how stiff they seemed. She lad let her jacket hang over her shoulders now not keeping her hands inside the jackets sleeve, because it was so stiff it remained on her shoulders, regardless she pulled it off her shoulders and tossed it on the shore. She tilted her head to the sides, craking her neck in the process, her shoulders where less tense now than when she started to dance.
Wearing only her white T-shirt to cover her top, and her skirt reached down to her mid thigts. She closed her frost topped eye lids for a second before continuing her song once more. Now that her necklace was off her eyes had received strange white patterns around her eyes.

Sing me a song of a lass that is gone, say, could that lass be i? She continued her song, but she was skating in reverse now, obviously very skilled at it.Merry of soul she sailed on a day, over the sea to sky. Give me again all that was there, give me the sun that shone, give me the eye, give me the soul, give me the lad that`s gone.
She repeated the first verse again. And jumped backwards in reverse, her breath was becoming slightly more labored, than when she started dancing. Billow and breeze, island`s and seas, mountains of rain and sun, all that was good, all that was fair, all that was me is gone. She again repeating the first verse to end the song, this is where she came to a halt and spun around, she placed both of her arms around her skirt tugging with her hands loosely she gestured a curtsey to the non existing audiance.
Two maids stood on a treetop observing her, one held binoculars in her hands while the other one just hanged around not too concerned quite a distance away. Should we approach her now? The one with the binoculars asked Let her be...

Spoiler:
Sorry about poor/drawnout post, gets better later on as you read. Good to be writing after a long while. Also long post, woohoo! ^o.o^
The air was wrought with nothing but hotness, save for the cool breeze that occasionally pass by. A particular raven haired boy walked on the pathway close to the lake, carrying a bulky coat in his arm. His left arm, to be more specific, folded and carrying it like a butler would normally carry his towel in his master's presence. He had made the horrible mistake, despite all signs and warnings of summer's ire being released today, of wearing his common attire to an informal meeting with those within his class, his own concern was being there to explain combat lessons to them, at least that's what his classmates had pestered him about, stating it was adamant. He was making his way across a long stretch of open space, out from the shade of the buildings, his sleeves rolled up while his charcoal pants still covered the entirety of his legs and very solid boots covering his feet, as he had never been interested in wearing anything less formal even in such times.
Arkian took a gulp as he walked down, raising his right hand to wipe his forehead of the sweat while his hair glistened in the heat. As droplets of sweat shook their way off his bangs, his eyes glanced into the skies for the sight of any clouds to give him shade. Unfortunately, the clouds were everywhere but above the island, instead they were off in the distance covering the horizon as usual, always around the far off sea from the large islands. It also began to ran down his neck, soaking into the desert sand coloured sweater he wore. He was annoyed at the notion that everything he wore would need to be washed afterwards to be purged of any odd scent, but he was at least thoughtful enough to have worn an undershirt to absorb all the sweat underneath his clothing. The heat bothered him little, as in he paid little head to it rather than it had any effect on him. He was beginning to become thirsty in such heat, and his vision was getting thrown off seldom. He eventually took to covering his eyes with his hand on his forehead as he tried to see ahead of him without burning his retinas. He still had a long stretch to go, fortunately to his left, he could see the reflecting of the light off the lake to the left. Only now he had noticed the trees to the side, Arkian quickly deviated from the general path without a second thought, not wanting to get completely baked in the sun.
Standing under the trees, and his vision still a bit of a blur from the sun's blaze in the summer, he eyed the lake from an angle that he still could not see what was fully going on. At this point, he completely regret his life choices, especially those on his choice of clothing throughout his life. Arkian practically threw himself onto the shore of the lake with both legs, having not notice the chill through his thickened leggings of cotton and fiber. His coat in his left, he slowly lowered his right hand towards the solid surface of the lake. Suddenly- he stopped. Arkian's senses finally noticed everything, no longer distracted by the heat which was still searing down upon him. Ice? Why would there be ice here..? Lakes are only frozen during the winter seasons... so why...? Arkian muttered to himself, half in words, half in thought, carrying a dumb founded and workout look on his face before slapping himself lightly twice to focus without splashing water on himself as he had hoped to do.
He slowly rose up, the frost against his legs. He could feel the cold emanating from the lake. The cool aura of the frozen lake must have been what brought his dimmed senses back into this world. He gulped again, suspicious as he eyed the lake for anything unusual. As his senses returned, his hearing included, he hear words being spoken very loudly, far away from where he stood. His eyes were immediately drawn to its source: A girl, with completely white hair, gliding gracefully across the icy lake. The ordeal was... an oddity for Arkian, believe it or not. The Academy was always full of weird things, but for some reason, this one was one of those "special" occurrances... He could not help but stare at her, as his coat slowly slipped out his hold and through his arm. It then finally hit him: The words with such harmony that she spoke, she was singing. Captivated by this, he would be unknownst to two caretakers watching over the figure in the middle... until now, as he moved from under the trees and away from any possibly blind spots they would have had. He began to step onto the ice, solid ice else he'd have broken the surface and plunged into the lake by now. The song she sang was... it's tone was familiar to say the least, but eventually he did not recognize it, nor did he consciously care.
Arkian took a step toward once more, then another, then another. He only came into full view as she began to cease, spin, and took a bow similar to those of European medieval maidens. By the time she did, Arkian took a final step, intending to stop dead in his tracks, and rethink this. However, on that final step, he slipped, with "Huuu---!!" A large thud followed his suppressed scream. His angle he fell at sent him down the path of ice, skating towards the anonymous girl. The squeaking of ice could have been heard as he slid across. He laid flat on his back, only raising his body from the waist up after he completely stopped. He was completely in the open, luckily the cold from the ice radiating off from the lake, chilling his body as he sat there. He was still a good distance away from her at this moment. What a scare he must have made, went through his head. Taking a half-serious approach, he attempted a sly introduction, though... Half-serious about it. Quickly, he said "Why hello there! Greetings and salutati--" While attempting to speak, he took the odd approach of getting with as if he were still on soil, with one leg being placed ahead to form the crouch position, he quickly slipped again while attempted to stand, landing and sliding a bit away from her this time. "--Ations!" Thud!
Again, he fell, this time chest forward, with both arms stretch forward and flat against the ice, along with his head resting on the cold frozen body of water that was the lake not so long ago. The cold against his skin, he did mind, though the shame of how things quickly turned out was much more painful. He pretty much had given up at making a good emergency first impression. He raised his right hand for a short casual wave as he lay, looking towards his left to the girl with his head still laying flat, and muffled as his mouth was in his sweater's folded sleeve on his arm. "Hiya, Aviskus here... Are you by chance responsible for this...?" His voice sounded strained and tired, it was probably from all the energy the heat sapped from him on his to the lake, as well as the fact acting 'cool on ice' wasn't working out for him. Arkian had literally no idea what level of dangers he had just landed himself in. He had not even gauged her magical prowess through his senses, nor did he expect anything massive from her. It had completely slipped his mind that what he was on was completely her doing, despite his asking. He did not even note the fact her cloth was frozen, or the fact his body slowly began to become numb at the time...

The maids looked onwards, someone was coming, the two maids looked at each other, they nodded briefly, and continued to observe, if something severe happened, they could always hide the corpse and pretend it never happened. She was all together too transfixed into her own world to really notice Arkian at this point, she sighed to herself as she looked up to the sky, it was painted blue, the sun continued to beam down on her with all its might but it didn`t feel very warm anymore thanks to her Ice. "Why hello there! Greetings and salutati--" .... !!!
Yui`s eyes widened when she heard the voice coming from behind her and for a moment she let out a brief nervous yelp, due to the suprise and the motion of her legs it caused her she struggled to stay on her feet before gravity the cruel mistress pulled her down back to earth. THUMP No matter how cruel however Yui`s pain receptors could rarely be satisfied by such insignificant amounts of pain, beside because she landed on her bottom, the pain was reduced even more. So it barely counted as pain...
Yui was at this point ready willing and able to kick this guys ass if he thought that this pain was potent enought to... she rubbed her bottom for the effect regardless having a slight blush on her face, her cheeks had been pale as snow for a while now since the cold air did wonders for her physics. She turned to look at the guy, her shoulders tensed up abandoning her relaxed form. She attempted at standing up again but failed, she glared daggers at the boy, why was he staring at her so so intently?, what was he....!?! .... ....... are you mayhaps a h-h-h-h-h-h-hHentai?
No wait what- that`s when the boy asked her a rather intimate question, (at least in her opinion) did he accuse her of freezing the lake? what nerve he had.... she frowned, was he just dense or stupid? Full name and occupation please... Yui attempted to stand up again, and this time managed it rather well, she brushed off any ice that might have clinged to her body...
Withouth her noticing there where two cracks in the ice, both which where causes of impact, both which where connected to each other trough the cracks. How could anyone get lost here, unless? he wanted to go for a swim in the lake... unfortunately that was impossible for a few days at least this ice was quite cold, she would be suprised if it was possible to swim in it a week from now, no doubt because the water would be so cold.... she doubted this though since his clothing was not adjusted to that even remotely, rather it was possible that he had some other things he wanted to do here, it was obiously a rather strange phenomenon to see a lake frozen in the late summer, no doubt would it had raised questions and she was the only one here.
She gave suspicious glances towards the boy, moving both of her hands to her hips.
No it wasn`t me She lied, it would serve no purpose to tell the truth to this man regardless of his reasons for interfering with her "studies"

Arkian took him time and slowly worked his way into a proper stance. Still half way there, he attempted to balance himself, but still to no avail. He felt his failure to stand was justified for making the girl slip, talking before she noticing him. He hoped she was okay from that fall, at least suffered no pain or injury from it. Before he knew it, she was screaming weird things at him as he struggled repeated and stubbornly to stand on the ice, all the while still playing the fool and neglecting what he knew. "Ahh! Sorry." he yelled back in response to her. "But--" he paused for a moment as he placed on foot ahead of the of himself, "-I don't know what a hen-tie is, nor if people tie their hens, or even if hens wear ties- Ghuk!!!" Again, slipped, falling with his chest landing right into his right hand clenched. For pain for making her fall, I figure. Honestly, it sounded like bone crunching. He at least hoped he did not break anything, but for some reason he could not feel anything at-!
His legs were shaking along with his hand as he placed it below him, and pushed himself up against the ice, with risk that he would slip and smash his face in. Along with his legs, his arm was starting to shake, from both exhaustion, and the obvious. He finally managed on his 5th try to set both feet down after a while. "Ha, there! I finally got it!" He said was he was in a spread-leg stance. It looked as if he was going to jump and grapple someone, if it weren't for his hands aiming in an outwards angle. He took a sudden breath, then glanced at each limb to check their position and balance. "Phew..." He relaxed a bit before shifting in surprise when Yui talked to him again, his legs sliding narrowly, threatening to slip away again. "Full name and occupation, please." His head quickly flew to her direction, his had a confused face like a deer in the headlights, he looked dumbfounded for a moment, "Uhhh-- Ammm!" he hesitated for a moment as he looked back and saw her glaring with him with a death gaze. The hair on Arkian's head practically stood up for a moment out of just her gaze. Did he just anger something akin to a Council's pristine member? He quickly scrambled his feet, which slid all around him, right before his feet were pressed against each other and he stood tall and straight with chest puffed out, his tan sweater's sleeves undoing its folding on his left arm. "Arkian Aviskus! At your ser...service..." He yelled out by instinct, slowly stopping before realizing what he did, his words slowly died off at the end of his sentence. He looked down a bit, realizing what he just did, a look of embarrassment on his face as he pondered on this for a moment.
He looked up after a quick notice, a no-nonsense expression on his face, "I'm a student here, same as you..." he said as he looked to her chest, then to her legs, then glared oddly at her hair then. He then stared her back into the eyes... They seem cold... and dead... At least that was all he could see from this distance, about twelve meters apart, give or take. Not to mention, that look she gave him as well as her general ton has been... unwelcoming to say the least. He stood there, his eyes narrowed after he inspected her from afar. Unknownst to him, he was starting to shiver in full view, shaking mildly yet his entire body was entering an odd state. Wasn't long until he received a response to his last question he asked: "No, it wasn't me." Arkian's eyes went to the right, then to the left, he dared not to turn around. I want to believe her, however... "Then so," He stopped for half a second, quickly he contemplated if he pressed her, something bad might happen. It wouldn't be kind to have to fight on the first day, maybe he could turn the conversation into a pleasant one, that is if she was willing. "What if your name?" He stopped for a moment to give her some time to react, and continued on, "Your name, it's only natural and polite to return an introduction." He placed a right hand on his hip and waited for her to say something.

A few clouds had formed high above the lake, she took a deep breath and let it off with a huff Are you trying to make a fool of me? She asked with a slightly annoyed tone of voice. She raised an eyebrow while Arkian was figuring out a way to stand up for the fifth time, she dismissed her ice skating from her feet as they crumbled to dust under her weight. But not because of it. She asked him a question to attract his attention from the ice and he aswered, nonchalantly.
It seemed like the boy was´t a complete ass, she got his name and a fine name at that... she supposed... she had never heard a name like that before, it sounded foreign, perhaps balkan or baltic? She had to hold herself from laughing at the boy`s introduction, it had excuse me dear reader, for a lack of a better word. Been absolutely horrendous, but she didn`t let this be too obvious she could retain herself from that much. She didn`t want to appear rude after all, and she felt like the man was genuine enough with his introduction.
He seemed observant, she could tell how his eyes followed her form, and she had to say it gave her slight discomfort. Then his eyes matched hers, it gave her a "cold shudder" in a matter of moments the jolly man in front of him had changed to a serious one, had she not blinked in those mere moments she would have thought he had switched places!
Her expression regained its composure, this wasn`t the prince she had hoped for, how many more years before he would appear before her, my body screams in disgrace, what would it take for a common peasant to disgrace her? A lecture? A show of force? a COMPLIMENT? i wonder... that`s when the boy gave her a another question, a rather bold move if you asked her, he asked her name. She was absolutely flabbergasted. ...... !!! I-i see so you have come to relive me of my duties? She said blushing. All of a sudden the cold glared was merely a white haze on the sky. A mere distant memory of the past.
She would have threatened jump into his arms had she not been able to restrain herself. mostly because she was enjoying his company So she was assuming the boy knew her name, she was assuming the boy was here to abduct her, just to get some exitement into her life. Steam flew trough her nostrils on her nose as she thought deeper.
H-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-how dare you threaten to corrupt my soul like this, its absolutely disgraceful! She said while her blush quickly deepened. The girl went quickly from a topic of her mind to actually speaking her thoughts out loud. Her arm slipped into her breast pocket, this is when she discovered that her jewelry was missing. What the- When did he? no wait she recollected her thoughts before they slipped past the no return mark.
She left her jacket on the shore... My bad.... i seem to have misplaced my belogings She gave a innocent giggle. She took a deep long look of the boy again reminding of his features, now that you meantioned it, he did look kinda familiar. Where had she seen him before? it felt like it was fairly recent too. Yui was backing off from the man step by step, was he on a wanted poster? it was doubtful he didn`t look that scary, that being said he would not have been the first assassin to try to kill her.

Arkian's face jumped into a broad smirk at the her, assuming he was making her a fool, he tried to assure her: "No, ma'am. I'm not, not in the slightest. That's pretty much up to you yourself..." He trailed off the last of his words.
he shuttered as a breeze passed by without warning, alerting him to the cold he was experiencing. "Sheesh, there's so much ice around it's starting to freeze me over in the summer," he mumbles to himself in his sweater which was specific for these types of temperatures he was facing right now, crossing his arms and rubbing his left arm's cotton sleeve. Yet the thoughts of the cold quickly alluded him, he stood straight again and towards her face, leaning his head to the left then to the right as he caught a bit of "deja vu" in his sense. He was about to raise a finger and interject something, saying she looked familiar, but half way raised with his arm, words that came next were... an odd choice, to put it minimally.
"Uh-- re-relieve you?" he said, stuttered at first in his confusion, "I guess I am, but I uhhh--" he was suddenly cut off by another sudden and more surprising ramble.
"H-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-how dare you threaten to corrupt my naked body like this, it's absolutely disgraceful!" She screamed out at him. At these words he flinched a bit back, feet almost shuffling under the ice. ". . . . ." he was absolutely speechless. ". . . Am... Wow. I am completely taken back..." he looked left and right and all around the frozen sands of the lake to see if anyone was around to completely misunderstand the situation massively. The 'coast' seemed clear for the moment, hopefully no one suddenly had jumped behind a tree and mistaken that for gossip material, or hopefully no one recognized him... or her."
He regained composure and took two steps forward. "Look, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. I'm flattered, I'll say that, but I think you might have just misunderstood the entire..." he stopped as he noticed she wasn't paying attention to him, instead reaching into her pockets. "Is she... trying to hide her body or something out of shame or such?" Arkian's mind just found her... strange. That's the first impression she seems to have given at this point, with her strange mannerisms and untactfulness, he thought. He shrugged and rolled his eyes before taking a few steps back and hold out his hands, raised as one would have it if backing off or trying to say they're not a threat. He wouldn't want to be branded a rapist or such by anyone at all, after all he was an academy student (still).
"Look," he said louder than before, yet avoiding any aggressive types of tone. "I understand you might have been under a lot of stress, and I apologize for that, really! So I'll just forget anything you might have said under--!" he stopped again, noticing she looked actually distressed, yet not focusing on him. Did she realize something she had forgotten? "You... forgot somethi-- Ah." She turned to him with a cutesy look (at least from his perspective) before saying she forgot her belongings at the shore, and slowly backing off. "Oh... alright." He said under his breath to himself, raising his hands up for a partial-shrug as he turned around got moving.
Another breeze blew by, Arkian shriveled up into a crooked pose as he shook a tad bit. "Argh! There's too much frigid ice for this hellish weather for this! I swear I'll have a stroke at this age with his crap!" He exclaimed to himself before turning and walking off in the opposite direction, heading back to the shore side he came from.

Now that she thought about it it didn`t make sense how he would know her name, she coughed M-my bad, and please call me Yui... Ma`am sounded like she was fourty years old or more. IM NOT THAT OLD!!! ...... e-eh She flushed a bright red, so she looked at something else instead. Suddenly and out of the blue snow started falling from the clouds above in a gentle yet sporadic snow fall. I-its nothing, forget it she laughed in a nervous voice about the things she had said in the past. (like the last 10 minutes or so)
Yui took tactful and careful steps towards where she could remeber leaving her jacket, she heard the boy scream something about the ice. "Argh! There's too much frigid ice for this hellish weather for this! I swear I'll have a stroke at this age with this crap!"
Yui took it to the heart, the abuse, the roughness of his voice it was an execptional combination, the verbal abuse was real she felt like every word stung at her heart strings, as such she fell on her knees panting hard, her body was shaking A-are you all right? She said withouth looking at him. Afraid that if she did she might pass out. She crawled her way to the shore, her hand reached out to her jacket. But something stopped her in her tracks, there was a sheet of ice that had grown over her jacket... Oh shit! she thought to herself, how was she gonna get her necklace back now?
She started banging on the ice in desperation, Bang Bang Bang!!! Harder and harder and more frequently as she continued, her hands quickly became bruised by the ice, drips of blood started to fall down her gentle hands, smudging the ice she was banging her hands against Dammit it, damn it all She contained her voice as it came out barely audiable, her face got covered by her bangs, she stopped banging her hands against the ice.
Hard ice froze from her face immidietly as it came in contact with the air, it dropped on the sheet of ice as "tears" with a quiet tingle.

Arkian disappeared from the scene for a moment. While he headed back to the shore, he recounted the quick and odd events, and borderline awful conversation he considered that was struck up (at least on his part, what a bore he thought). He partially felt that this moment should be forgotten, but he couldn't help but shake his head at every thought he had just now about the girl, and how he looked just sliding in there like some sort of stalker accidentally falling out of a tree right in front of their 'victim' to put it bluntly to anyone.
For now he just grabbed his coat, holding to walk away from the incident without making it even more strange. Everyday he felt himself growing more and more distant from his ideal personality he tried to reach, with each social interaction feeling more and more absurd and apparently petty. What his former masters along with his old self say, he did not really want to know the disappointment or borderline shock to be felt by them.
And like that, he vanished for the time being, while Yui fell and crawled away back to her side of the shore...
...
...
...
Yui hammered away at the sheet of ice, blood and bruises on her knuckles appearing moments later as she bashed and bashed against the thickened ice, seemingly out of desperation from a foreign perspective. She she began to cry with her hair covering her face, snow falling around as it began to lay on her steel-coloured hair. A coat was tossed onto her from her back, opened up with its sleeves hanging over her shoulders. It was a thick black coat made out what seemed like tightly woven wool, and the insides were soft and fuzzy as they were similar to that of a soft fresh woolen rug. "Here, warm yourself up." The hood hung over her head, shielding her vision as footsteps came from behind her, moving to the side before heading in front of her, about the reach of an arm and a half.
Arkian stood there, face assaulted by frost and and fingers shaking involuntarily, however they held their grip against the cold as Arkian quickly leaned in and grabbed the frozen slab of ice from out under Yui, holding it up in front of his face and moving it about, inspecting it on all sides. "You know despite how well you handled yourself on the lake, I didn't think you'd have trouble dealing with the ice," His voice felt almost like teasing, given the situation. He tossed the frozen jacket into the air, spinning it completely and landing back into the grip the hand with the partially gloved hand. He turned to the right and took a step, "But yet again," he calmed continued walking back and forth mid-convo, "Magic does after all have it's opposites." He stopped right in front of her, "Just like people." With those words, the bottom of the ice glowed orange; light refracting from the palm of his hand. From the soft light, a bright flame burst upwards, completely covering the iced jacket and convulsing back and forth, shifting intensity as its height shifted as well for a mere few seconds. Put out, the ice was almost completely melted, only flakes and shards of ice, which dropped off with each movement he made with the jacket in his face.
With all said and done, Arkian lightly frozen jacket to her, slowly folding his arms as he stood tall and waited, bobbing his head for slight passive nods as he encouragingly said "Well, try punching it now. Should be more safer than before," Though not without a small tone of sarcasm in his voice as he tapped his feet against the sand.

Yui was about to reach the end of her patience, she could have easily shattered the ice had she had her necklace on. She supposed she could have used her ice bracers to knock the ice away, but she was afraid she would tear her jacket along with it. Especially now that the boy was gone or so she thought, you could imagine her fright when out of nowhere a jacket comes flying over her shoulders.
His Jacket freezing solid instantly, Yui crossed her hands across her chest, when the boy came back. Before she could retort or complain, Arkian snatched away the ice slab that contained her jacket. I didn`t ask for your help did i? She said as she watched Arkian melt the ice, she didn`t respond but quickly grabbed the necklace from the chest pocket inside the jacket and placed it around her neck. She immidietly feeling the coldness of her clothes and air seeping trough her warm veins, in her very bones. She yelped and quickly wrapped tighter on Arkian`s coat around her. She then realized it was his coat, the smell of his seeping trough her very being.
She then realized. She had never carried another man`s coat not even her "brothers" coat... So she quickly pulled the coat off of her shoulders despite how much every cell in her body desperately craved for warmth. (not that Arkian`s coat was that warm anymore) She placed her jacket over her own shoulders and tied every god damn button on her shirt even though she betted they would pop if she made a sudden movement, she offered Arkian`s coat back. Smart ass, here`s your coat It was almost completely frozen over already. Yui made a face, kinda like a frown, the snow was still falling at this point, the temperature had dropped just below freezing it seemed in august... she hoped that most of the isle had been spared the same fate.

With the amount of speed she moved with, Arkian figured there was really something of importance to justice her bashing away at the ice with her bare knuckles. It was confirmed to him as she tossed the necklace around her neck, immediately defrosting herself (save for his coat). Clearing his throat, he approached her, ice frostings all over his body, only exposed flesh being his face and fingers of a single glove that lacked completely finger coverings (being his right hand's glove). He couldn't help but look on at this oddity just before him. He tilted his head and ran a few thoughts through it before approaching her. He raised a hand expressively, about to gesture while commenting about something with a coy (and mildly sarcastic) expression.
He was a bit taken back by being called a 'smart ass' after helping out, glancing left and right comically to see if she was talking to him, right before holding his coat out to him. It was covered in ice almost to the point it could pass as if it were made of it. He just stared slowly at her and the coat back and forth with a doubtful expression on his face before slowly reaching for the coat. "Ha, thanks for hold- Ahh!! Cold!" He expressed before tossed the coat up and landing it onto the sleeve of his sweater and on his forearm. It would be not worth mentioning he was disturbing by the shock of touching the ice if he weren't covered in frost, eyes struggling to stay open as the snow started to settle in.
He looked up at the sky, noticing the snow as they stood there. "It looked like it was going to rain once in a while." His eyes trailed across the clouds, going past the central tower of the island establishment. "Guess I understood why the clouds settles in. Looks like an anonmaly's passing by..." As he said that, he lifted his arm up and slung the coat over his shoulder before resting his hand at this side again, and turned back to Yui. "You're welcome by the way." He lifted out a hand to shake her's, which he considered a common greeting, or at least an appreciatively gesture.

She ignored Arkian`s strange look on his face when he observed her, had he figured it out? should she tell him? its for his own safety not to know, she thought to herself. In a way it was the truth, but it could equally be his undoing. He would have been better off not getting involved with her, despite how she liked the company. She raised an eyebrow when he looked to the sides. She brushed her uniform from the snow and ice that might have tagged onto it, then she wrapped her arms around herself again and shook a bit from the cold. Even now as she was talking with this young man, had she realized that the skies where slowly letting up, it would take but a few minutes but it would cease eventually or that was normally the case. Even Yui knew that something else was up with this weather phenomenon, the clouds started to build upwards higher and higher. She was a rather poor at predicting the weather but to her that looked like a thunder cloud.
The wind started to pick up snow, as it grew stronger. Looks like a storm is brewing, is this one of those anmaloes? She asked, not being quite up to speed with the english language. Well whatever it is it looks fore-boading
Are you done jesting? let`s go look for a shelter She liked the gesture, for once she was treated like a commoner rather than a royalty. She much preferred to keep it that way. She shook his hand. Thank you... She said as she smiled. Then came the hail hard and fast, as big as a pool ball. The first hail hit the ice under their feet it smashed to tiny pieces in an instant. Yui didn`t waste a moment bolting off towards the nearest tree. If you savor your life, run like your life depended on it The next moment the Hail was the size of a cannon ball and plummeted right trough the ice.

"Anomalies." he said in a low volume as she spoke.
"Jesting?" He asked while shaking her hand after she expressed gratitude. "I don't think it's polite to joke around on a first meeting." He withdrew his hand back to his side and looked again at the sky, curious to her words about seeking shelter. "Right, no telling when the anomaly will pass and the snow will turn to rain and-" as if to mock his words, a large piece of hail (previously mentioned) landed right besides them, shattering under the frozen pieces of the shore. While Yui rushed away, Arkian barely flinched. He quickly turned his gaze to the shattered remains of the hail, ice on ice, before turning it back to Yui, taken off.
Arkian stood there for a moment, a moment that seemed comically timed as his eyes moved down and in thought, before Arkian himself made a mad dash when he realized- HAILSTORM! The next moment a shower of hail equally or of greater size rained down below them. How entirely this was missed by the academy's weather prediction was completely unknown. As they both rushed towards the trees for cover, with limited but adequate protection from its volume of leaves and strapping branches, sirens went off over the academy. A common signal for all students to take cover in any situation that was vital enough. Though, a little to late for almost anyone caught in the vast open spaces, which was fortunately rare around the academy save for places like the open ends of the area, as well as training fields (which were underused and hardly had anyone on them due to the summer).
Luckily the academy buildings were reinforced and enchanted, enough to shield anyone as well as any structure from such weather conditions, As an island that was no stranger to odd events and attacks, yet it merely an acquaintance to the vast array anomalies known to nations all around. As he stood under there with Yui under the tree, he cursed under his breath. "Dammit! We need to find a way to-" he halted his words as he leaned around the tree, gauging the distance from the line of trees to the closest actual shelter or roof. "Well, shit! Looks like we're stuck here for now," he exclaimed as he shook off the falling pieces of ice on his head, coming from the hail shattering as they hit the trees above them.
One could only wonder would was happening to the two spying individuals hidden away in the tree tops previously.

He corrected her, she felt slightly embarassed by it, but the moment had gone so fast he probably didnt have a chance to read it, not that it really mattered, she wasn`t a book to be read easily anyway, what mattered a few moments later was to not get crushed by a foot sized hail dropping from the clouds above with the speed of (And i apologise my language) bloody freaking terminal velocity.
A very specific speed if you asked her, but this wasn`t her only concern. As she had other pressing concerns close to her heart, with like said heart pressing concerns on her chest was a rather tight jacket. A jacket she usually didn`t button up, mostly because... well it would usually result in the meantioned jacket having a rather unpleasant case of "Breaking up into tears"
Before meantioned buttons had an unpleasant habit of and a rather sudden and flashing way of going off their case to "hit on people" no pun intended, weather or not Yui thought of this as appropiate behavior or not was not really up for her to decide even though it was her fault to begin with. At the moment however Yui was far too pre occupied with living to really think about her other problems.
The mad dash meantioned in the previous post was coming to an end in a short moment, this rather "dashing" moment was only briefly obscured by a rather loud ripping sound, said ripping sound had been made obsolete in the face of... death.
Either way Yuuri made a sharp turn to face Arkian, a rather worried look sprung on her face, which didn`t last, her heart was still running on adrenaline, any moments where death was involved had that effect on her. She almost wanted to hug him in the moment of excitement.
That`s when the first shot went off, aimed at Arkian the button missed his face by an inch. The second shot was a direct hit as it was aimed at his chest, followed by a third and a fourth... ...
The third shot flew at a blinding speed at his forehead, the fourth at equal measure at his groin, a below the belt shot, a real tragedy that one... Yui looked puzzled at Arkian for a moment before she noticed her buttons had all popped off at Arkians expense... her jacket was all but buttoned it seemed.
Damn it happened again... Arkian are you... all right? She sighed, great her favorite jacked got jacked again...
The maids meantioned in the previous post had taken shelter inside the warmth of the school, they had more pressing concerns too, but nothing they could do about it.
I hope we don`t have to wait for long... Yui said in responce to Arkians last words that where said before said tragedy occured, Yui stepped closer to Arkian, eyeing him her look had changed again to a more cold and determined expression, she could not look weak in front of another man, least of all with someone she was stuck with for the unpresidented future.

Arkian had little tension compared to the person besides him under the tree. He stood facing away from her, quickly slipping his frost-covered coat over his arms and onto himself before he pinned the hanging strap yet leaving the zipper down. No use trying to cold in the summer when this was happening. His eyes kept glancing back and forth between the buildings and the area between them, the large icy pieces the ground shattered over and over as they hit solid concrete, asphalt and whatever else the academy used for their flooring besides the buildings and on pavements. He frantically tapped his feet and furrowed his brow as he waiting, not talking to Yui because she herself didn't seem to be enjoying his company, which made him decide to make amends by shutting up and leaving her for now.
His eyes moves upwards, as if staring at his head or forehead as thoughts ran through his head. Usually when meeting people, based on dress code and behavioural habits, he could almost always tell if they were from a certain statue or not. But not Yui, her manners, conducts and dresscode seem to contradict each other, yet it was seemingly leaning towards the 'yes' of his question. Regardless, the same question still lingered since he began talking to her: "Is she or is she not?" Distracted in thought and indecisive, Arkian didn't pay any attention to the very slightest of sounds coming from behind him, most notably at all would have been the sound of fabric straining itself at most. But what he did hear was very distinct sound that was almost drowned out by the constant noise of smashed ice against the academy grounds from the sky.
"Pop!"
Arkian's eyes shot forward before something shot past his eyes right in front of him and off into the opening where the hailstorm reigned supreme for now. "Wha-" he squeaked as his eyes slowly adapted to tracking the path the flying button took. He hastily spun around to see if Yui did anything, maybe shot an icy blast or flicked a piece of hail she picked up past him to get his attention or tease him, is what he thought. Upon turning he was met a quick succession of buttons flying on him, full frontal. He kept a neutral yet somehow innocent and curious expression with a mild smile as this happened, a button flying into his chest through the gap of his coat and straight into his torso.
Luckily his sweater cushioned it, yet the impact as still felt that made him flinch about an inch. Still, nothing changed about him for around a second. Then the button flying to hit his forehead, throwing off his expression of "Hm?" to "What!" as the pain hit him dead center in the forehead, right between the eyebrows. The pain wasn't exactly "instantly" felt but it was close, it threw him off a bit and stumbled him back yet was about to follow up a little bit of shock to his sense. It was akin to someone slingshotting a pebble about 2 centimetres big into your face at point blank.
The third button flying straight into his crotch region, where one would expect the most damage but fortunately Arkian's horrible fashion choices actually made a different from (debatable) life and death, yet a light sting was felt as it hit, same with his chest area.
He recovered from the stumble and stopped after a single step back, taken back by surprise by the sudden 'attack' if anything, save for the headache he probably got. He grunted in pain, holding his head and leading down as if someone slammed a hammer into it. "What-- the hell was that rapid fire?!" he tried not to yell (unsuccessfully) with a bruise being left on his forehead. "Arkian are you... all right?" he heard. Her tone and choice of words felt a bit indifferent as if she had nothing to do with it, or hadn't even notice it. He stoop up straight, rubbing his forehead with one eye closed to emphasis the hurt of it. "Yea-eahh... All fine and dandy." he returned with a monotonous attitude with his eyes focused looking up.
He placed a finger and prodded around the bruise, not knowing it was there yet could still feel the intense sting of the small object flying at him. He was relieved the other two he felt didn't do anything thanks to his outfit, otherwise he might have had a hard time breathing. As Yui commented on how soon she was hoping this would end, Arkian wanted to say he shared her sentiments, yet decided to drop his arms to the side and instead silently shrug as he ignored the stings.

She moved in by instinct withouth really thinking about it, Arkian had been standing a few feet from the tree line that had started to get shredded by the hail, and Arkian in his confusion had made the mistake of wandering into this area, catching him by the shoulder she threw him aside towards the tree. Watch out! Half a second later a large chunk of ice knocked into her, crushing her right arm instantly as her right arm turned into ice dust. She bit her lip, not moving towards Arkian or even towards the tree line, she went silent, facing away from Arkian as her arm, or rather bits and pieces of her arm started to slowly regrow back. She hid her arm quickly inside her jacket (or what was left of it), she took a deep breath while hail showered down around her, she backflipped back under the tree on the last second as another hail fell where she had stood just a moment before.
Still facing away from the boy, she released her breath, she didn`t know what to say... at first but managed utter a few words, "Its all right its just a... flesh wound" She said as ice shards where literally reforming her elbow, her bones and muscle tissue. Would he figure out the truth? did he see her? she clenched her teeth together, if... if he saw she might have to end him.
She was shaking at this point, at least she was glad they where stuck apart from everyone else. But that also meant, that if push came to shove, she would have to deal with it solo. "Nothing to worry about..."

Arkian continued to watch the hailstorm from safety, is what he did assume at the moment while at the edge of what was considered safe. He was not actually confused by the impact and had no trouble recovering from it, however he was ignorant and neglected his senses at the moment. The safezone under the tree was being continuous cut down by bits and bits of hail continuous bombarding the thick density of leaves and long stretching branches. He did not take note of the bits of ice and flaking of the hail falling on him from above, but he glanced down to notice the falling of hail was closely creeping closer. He turned his head to the face the skies, gazing into the sky for a few good seconds until he might have noticed something. Within a second of that, Arkian was grabbed by edge of his coat on the shoulder and tossed towards the tree trunk. He didn't react to this at all at first, completely taken by surprise due to the lack of anticipation. Taken off his feet for a moment, he recovered well with a roll and back onto his feet, ending with a stumble which ended well with him realizing he was braced against the tree trunk.
From his view was the back of Yui. She stood there silently and unmoving in a good distance within the cover of the tree. A bit of hesitation settled into Arkian, his mind began to rush a few minor thoughts of injury into his head. "Hey," he called out to her, "You alright? Yui!" he stepped away from the base of the tree and walked to her, about to place a hand on her right shoulder, but held his hand an inch way from contact before removing it back to his side. Arkian instead decided to walk around to the front of her, moving into her view from the right side at he circled around. He noticed her arm, all the way from her elbow, was buried into her jacket. Yeah, no doubt it was an injury," he thought. He gritted his teeth and looked away for a second in the directions of the road, still being showered by hail. He wasn't sure how to break the silence, so...
Arkian plopped down in front of her, looking up he said, "Yui, sit down with me." Fortunately they were still far away from the edges of where the hails would hit, so there was no rush in his voice, instead it was with a calm tone he spoke. He lifted his right hand up to chest height, his palm engulfed in a small golden glow of energy that seem to occasionally pulse in a teal/cyan color from the center. He lifted his rear and adjusted his legs to sit cross legged.
"This is something I picked up a few years ago; healing ability, useful for mending most things, from small cuts and bruises to... well, that's not important."
He knew he'd be met with at least a sliver of reluctance, given how she has acted so far. "You don't have to worry about me doing anything wrong. I'm not really one for combat, deception, or killing... But I do have an aptitude for helping people, or at least trying..."
"Besides, I don't have anything against you. You act normally like most at this academy, and... I won't hold it against for who you are. No one should ever do something like that. "This is really the least I can do for you throwing me out of danger's way... No, this is the most I can do for you. For now, of course."
"So... are you going to give me your arm or...? Because this thing uses a lot of energy to use or even show off like this passively, and I'd rather focus my energy on keeping warm in this wintery hell of a storm. At the end of him talking with a fast pace, he had a cheeky smile in this situation.

Yui looked on as Arkian approached her, but she avoided looking at him in the eyes, she released her clenched teeth from her tender lips taking a long gasp and then releasing it in a sigh, her shoulders tensed as Arkian spoke, sounding "worried?" she didn`t know if he was serious. He musn`t have seen her arm, but at the same time he didn`t come off as a bad guy.
Now that she thought about it.... she recalled where she had seen him, outside of class in the lobby. He had punched that "Royal pain in the ass guy" which she never bothered to remember the name off, it wasn`t that she knew the guy or anything, but it was expected of her to know future rulers as well as the current ones off course. It was common sense, that and his actions, she had not really thought of it as such though, too often had she met people, nobles or commoners alike wrought with greed and selfish ideals, the term slave labour wasn`t unfamiliar to her.
Her left arm had wrapped around her coat right below her bosom, supporting it in the process, as Arkian took a seat in front of her, her gaze slowly wandered across his figure, she didn`t "plop" down as his Author so indiscreetly worded it. She had half a mind to kick him in the **** Ahem...
Her eyes strayed from Arkian and she looked onwards towards the dorms. She wanted a hot cup of coffee right about now, maybe an espresso... her gaze was illuminated by the divine light that escaped his magic.
Gazing into this light, her face softened a little, she released a sigh. She listened as he spoke gazing past him. Her shoulders lowered she had made a decision, it was a gamble but she was willing to belive that not every human in this world was rotten to the core save for a few she knew. That there was still honest to good working people in this world.
Yuuri had not exactly had the best childhood growing up. Her left arm released its tight grip she stepped forward, pulling loose her coat she dropped it in Arkian`s lap, as she walked right past him, towards the tree line. As she stepped forward still hiding her hand she turned around facing him.
As she did so she brought up her arms, her face tensed up, with a rather serious expression imprinted. Her bangles fell forward shading her face, a big block of ice dropped on her head moments later tearing half of her head into tiny fragments, breaking off at her shoulder...
Her arm was rebuilding itself along her shoulder (though the pace was slow), growing the last layer of her skin onto it, the bone fragments where growing back on her wrist while the muscle tissue was growing somewhere along the way. She stood still, watching his expression with the first half of her face still left. Looking for any hint of emotion that might surface...
Her head and shoulder had already started to recover She didn`t speak a word.

Arkian just sat there silently, he had a confident expression on him, and for him it was forced so much to the point that he began to close his eyes and let his head freely lean slowly to the side. His ears were still active though, hearing a few steps being taken close to him, he expected to hear a sound of fumbling. Instead he felt the coldness of what he could assume was a lot of fabric ( at least what was left of it in its currently stat) being tossed onto his folded lap.
He opened his eyes, head still cocked and with a defeated smile and half awaken dreary eyes staring blindly at the tree branch as his eyes fluttered twice up and down. "Alright then," he said lowly to himself, thought directed for Yui. With a flick of his fingers against his thumb, the spell scattered and vanished into the air, energy flying around in a small gentle explosion of coloured energy before being gone from the naked eye.
". . ."
In the short moments of silence Arkian spun around while sitting down, returning to watching the hailstorm once more with ice shattering all around, with some raining down below them. "Just... trying to start small conversations here..." He continued with a soft toned words, making him sound meek contrast to his way of speaking before. He looked over his shoulder for a moment, staring off of left of him as he spoke away. "Thing is- I don't really- feel like I came off as I... should have?" While talking he rocked back and forward slightly, sitting close to the edge but still a bit of a good stance from danger like last time. "Just surprisingly appearing in front of a girl and stopping to talk just doesn't feel like me, so I kind of wanted to clear that up." If anything were to be emotionally noteworthy to Yui, it'd be that Arkian's face was just nothing but a passive smile. Of course, he wasn't half, relieved, or anything to warrant such, hence passive.
He lifted his feet from folded and sat with them arched close to him, almost like a fetal position without leaning towards them.
". . ."
"Alright, you've been really quiet for a while. What's wr-" Arkian turned around, only to be met with a sight that was horrify anyone at the academy unprepared for it. Arkian was visibly struck with horror for a moment, confusion and distress dominating his face. He sprung from his sitting and took a step back, edging close to the danger zone against yet partially glanced to make sure he wasn't too far. He recovered quickly, and immediately noticed that there was no blood. Even more so he was quick to see she was still standing and gazing at him, his eyes met her one remaining while he stood there with a frozen stance, unmoving in what was essentially a stare-off with half of a face of the girl he was just standing with. He said nothing in light of this. The two of them just stood there just watching, with Arkian's face adapting a stern and opinionated look at what he was seeing; a completely neutral expression, but not at all naive or oblivious.

.... Her eye narrowed down to half slits Scared? She said taking a step forward towards Arkian Of course you are... she took another step. Humans are simple creatures, they fear that what they cannot understand... She took another step, her eye hung on Arkian.
Im not a girl, and least of all normal... im a freak of nature, a monster in sheeps clothing she took several more steps stepping inside the "safe zone"
Do you understand? Her skeleton fingers where growing back as her arm re-attached itself into the shoulder that was blown away earlier, her second eye came back as well. By the age of ten i had seen heaven and hell on earth, my life from the very beggining was on a different level than yours Her whole arm shook in a distorted manner as her expression had darkened.

He eyed her abilities and the skeletal portions, utter nothing as he stood there and watched still. 'Scared' was one way to look at it. Arkian stood and looked pretty as one would say, but it crossed his mind that this hail was probably a good for keeping watchful eyes away. As she spoke, he showed no changes in emotion, only his watchful eye drifting around her figure. One could even say he was "frozen" the way he was stagnant like an icy lake, not exactly the one they were one a dozen minutes or so ago.
He did nothing but listen to the end of her 'ranting' as he saw it. When all was quiet and it was only the sound of the hail again, Arkian lowered his stance. He took two steps forward and sat down, letting out a small breath of air. "Oh! Shit... that was relieving." He hug his head low as he buried his face into a palm, only for a few chuckles to be head. "Sorry... just... hah... still feeling a bit worn from the insane sprinting we did to get under here."
"Of course I was scared." He looked up to her, "It shattered your head. I thought I just saw someone die in front of me again! I expected to see flesh scattered around you!" Leaning back on one hand in sitting, he looked up past her and to where the peak of the tree would be above all the foliage. "I guess it was rude of me to mistake you for human, after at all we moved past such a point so many damn years ago and... now you see everything everywhere you go."
He took a pause to sit up again and gestured to her "So it was you who froze that lake?" He already knew her words were like, but he couldn't help but just try to tease her to ease the tensions he could feel from the tone she spoke with.
"So what's with that of being a freak?" lowing his gesture and his guard as well, "It's not exactly like we know what each other's lives have been like. After all we just met."

Yui raised an eyebrow as she studied the boys expression, hearing his words she blinked for a moment. But she didnt say anything to question him, he spoke again, he told her how it shattered her head....
Her eyes narrowed to near slits as she took a seat next to him, "Please... i-i dont mind if you treat me like a human... in fact i would prefer if you did" slowly her head was starting to heal, her hand was already fully healed up, her shoulder had some ways to go though. "What does it feel like.... to get hurt i mean?"
When he asked her if she was the one who froze the lake Yui brought her legs up to her face, leaning against them. She listened to him but didnt answer at first, when he had finished she looked up to the horizon. Past the academy, past the forest, past the isle, and past the wide ocean.
"I could walk home if i wanted to, but i don`t because back there there are people who belive in me, like my father and my brother, by the way you meantioned someone, what happened?" She tried to change the topic.

Arkian did his best to be attentive to her, listening without any averting of his head. He was like a child listening idly to an adult speaking, but to him it felt more like just someone who needed to let off some steam by words. Even her ending statements just felt as something a bit sorrowful for Arkian, but he was feeling VERY included to make some sort of family-based joke, as it usually ends up being a running gag with some students here having family issues, given their origins and nature of said origins. Arkian waited until she was silent for a moment, then he actually felt like he gave himself the freedom to rock side to side as he folded his legs and moved about like again like a child sitting around.
He looked off into the distance, fogged/clouded by the volume of hail raining down and the sound drowning the alarm that previous went off. All the lights in the distance looked to have switched on as if to illuminate the path way in some other event for people to follow, like some sort of bizarre thunderstorm which rain literally blinding people in darkness, leaving them to see only an arm's length, and such. All the lights from where Arkian and Yui are, were only a blur to them if they were to look and examine the view around the. Arkian did not want to look at her, and leave her as she was. Instead he just talked as he peered off into the distance, hoping the hail would end soon.
"Can't feel pain, huh?" It was more catching thing that she said to him since she sat down, even more than her struggles of coming back home. He took wanted to change the topic after she asked about "someone" and what happened. "That's good, feeling pain's honestly something sickening for us who can." His words flowed with a bit of a chastising yet an attempted sympathetic tone, but in its core it conveyed no harm of nothing betraying. It was like a soldier's instructor going off at making light of the good out of the soldier's flaws. "But I still see you can feel pain beyond your being. That's at least something that's attributed to us; humans, who apparently did everything we have because a felt it needed to be done." He paused for a moment, a bit of self-reflection popped up in his head, saying "I wish I was like that sometimes." Keeping it ambiguous as possible, he left it as so.
"Speaking of which-- your family; back at home! What are they like?" He felt the need to shift the topic to this, with the mood feeling right given the rain and all, it was good to at least have a sit conversation to think about a few things. "Is there a reason you don't want to them believe in you... Or... You want sometime else than that?" It was only time to gazed to the side and looked at her in a reassuring way, a mild smile on his face as he did so.

The hail had finally started to give, changing into a more normal rain, it poured hard melting the hail quickly, she thought about leaving, but she didnt want to get wet, it wasnt exactly a light downpour. Yui became silent, listening to the downpour and the words Arkian spoke, his attitude was relaxed to say the least. He spoke about her pain and how he wished he had it like her, he asked about her family, what was her reason for not wanting to go home?
`how could she go home´ She thought to herself, clearly she didnt bring it up too well, not that she had any intention to, she sighed. He knew she had a family at home, but it was not your ordinary family, it wasnt a farm house, it wasnt a mere noble man`s house either, she was an orphan, an outcast of this age.
During the last ten years, she had not spoken to anyone about her secret, where she was from, this whole world was alien to her, only in recent years had she grown accustomed to it. So what was she supposed to say? The boy avoided her question as deceptively as she did his. Her shoulders lowered What would you know... she pressed her palm onto her chest, feeling her own heart beating. She wasnt being entirely candid with him, she could feel pain, the kind of pain that echoed deep down from her heart.
If she told people that she came over 2000 years from the past they would think she was crazy, people dont normally meet time travelers. His tone of voice ringed him true, he seemed honest enough. She came from a time where violence and survival of the fittest was common place. New kingdoms rose and fell, and this process repeated over and over.
"I have called many a place `home´" home, that word what did it mean to her? was it the place she was born in? No, was it the place where she was raised? No ,was it the place where people loved and cherished her? ..... who knows, what really was love? A fleeting feeling?, a passing joke? A lie?
Noticing she had drifted off and not answered his question. "My... family has high expectations... those who have power, hold great responsibility." She just finished talking when--
A terrible growl could be heard nearby. Moments later Yui was punching her own stomach. So what drew you to this school? She asked paying no mind to the growl from before.

The smell of rain against the ground filled his nose; petrichor, as everything warmed from the icy landscape it was. Still sitting idly, acting as if he had lost focus and instead paid attention to the normal downpour that now surrounded them. The tone of her voice really gave Arkian an answer to an old question. "Ah, she is." he muttered, with bits of disappointments, while going through this in his head. A lot of the students here seem to have similar issues, and it looks like it really was that rare to find someone who didn't have family troubles, because of the way the world still works from it oldest systems.
"So what drew you to this school?" She asked him.
Arkian lazily swung his head around to face her, then back to looking at the downpour. He was tempted to just walk away from such a question. "Stupid," he thought. Not about her, or the question. He spoke up, avoiding his voice being drowned by the sounds of surrounding rainfall.
"Well, that's... really a tale to tell. Or maybe I'm just remembering it differently. I think it's shorter or something of that note." Shuffling a bit backwards, closer to the center of the shade of the tree, after feeling a bit of water dripping on his right shoulder, he lay back with an arm behind his head, and other on the belly of his outfit. "I guess you could say it's all I really know, now. My oldest memory is of this place, and all my life I've just been here, studying and training amongst everyone else. I quite like it. Don't really see a reason to change any of it."
A quick shut of the eyes changed his mood. "But honestly - there's times where it feels like those are just the memories of someone else.." He stood and stepped back closer to the edge, in contemplation of something.
"Feels nice to cool down after a day like this. The summer heat's really unforgiving after all." Coat on, Arkian stepped out into the open, exposed to the sky's wrath of wetness. He was almost immediately soaked, the water running through his duffel like a sheet of paper falling into the raging river. The water pouring down from soaking him and his garments blend effortlessly with the fall of the rain. "Actually I think I was right: I did remember it differently."
"Odd thing- Don't know why I was still waiting under there after the ice stopped falling. Must have been the conversation." The rain beating against his brow as he looked up to the top of the tree, mostly shredded by the hail but still standing tall and strong with a few levels remaining. As he looked up, his eyes saw a blazing inferno past it, fire roaring through many trees surrounding it as the rain did their best to keep it at bay... "I actually quite like the water."
