A Case of high fever (Open)

July 2014.

"Let's go to class I said. This'll wear down I said...." Kasai was walking pretty slowly down the halls of the academy pretty slowly considering that she had to be in class right now.

she worse her usual outfit. Washed everyday to keep it clean but today she wore it under a Silver hoodie which she only does when she's well, sick.

Which she was.

She never knew why she does that and in all honesty, at the moment, she hardly even cared. She just wanted to get through the day and maybe lay down for a while.

After a minute or so she opened the door to her class, while she was the last one in, was on time letting kasai sigh out in relief as she took a seat down. "..uh..forgot the book..i'll just write down the stuff.." she muttered to herself as she took out a notebook and began to write down what she'd needed to do for today.

After writing down the things she just rested her head on her crossed arms and breathed out..a bit to heavily.

This wasn't going to be her day.

'She's late,' Chronus notice as he sat in his usual sit 'she never late.' He tries not to worry but his eyes went to the door more often as the clock keep on ticking. 'Where is she?'

Finally, as the bell ring, she walk into the class. Immediately, he noticed something was off, she was wearing a sliver hoodie. Will not unusual, it was out of habit for her. Not only that, she didn't say hi and seems tired. So he lean over his desk and tap her shoulder.

"Hey, Kasai? Are you feeling alright?"

As the period of homeroom drew near, Arkian was sitting in class, spending his time on finishing an assignment that was due within the next week, he could not help himself because of his curiosity to find the answer. "If that is so, how did X kill Y in this case...?" he muttered to himself. This was a very strange assignment indeed, the teachers themselves wasn't sure a few days, they even brought in a few more educators to solve the problem before even giving it to the students. In the end they all shrugged and told the students to figure it out as homework.

He spent a while, tapping his ballpoint pen around the top of the sheet of paper, this was a hard question, was it even a logical one? This thought process was broken as Kasai slid open the door, causing Arkian to turn in her direction wondering who exactly would be ending class at this time, other than the teacher.

'Is that... Kasai?' It sure looked like her. She looked the same with her face and hair and all, but that outfit was a bit off. It looked a bit too inconspicuous would be the phrase to justify this? Arkian's been around Kasai for quite a long while, and never once has he seen her wearing a hoodie. To him she wasn't that conversing or concealing as he was, with his coat and gloves and long garments under fore-mentioned longer garments.

He forgot about the assignment he was working it, it can wait for a few days, and focused on Kasai for a while as she slowly made her way to her desk. It was very strange to him, she was usually a hyped-up girl in his eye, ready to dash into action or go after someone insanely powerful, but what exactly is this? He didn't know she was sick, so the only conclusion he could have really made was that something bad probably came up leaving her depressed.
He kept his eye on her, averting his gazes a bit to other sources of sound such as classmates' laughter or loud expressions.

Kasai, from sheer tiredness actually almost fell asleep. Until someone tapped her shoulder causing her to snap out of it and turn around faster than she normally would. When she saw it was Chronus though she calmed down a little !A-ah..! Hello Chronus, sorry i didn't really see you there!

She was smiling until he said if she was feeling ok..thats when things felt a little off for her.

"I'm fine! just a cold i think thats all. Nothing to it" She looked over to see that Arkian was even looking at her with some expression of concern and it worried her that she was possibly putting them through unwanted stress or worry.

She then spoke out again..a bit weaker this time "I-I mean...I feel ok! I feel....uh..I...." Suddenly an onslaught or wave of dizziness hit her which caused her to put her hand on her head and let out a quiet groan of annoyance.

"...oh my god.."

She tried to stand up but she actually ended up stumbling backwards and collapsing onto the floor.

With widen eyes, he jump up and quickly grab hold of her. "Okay, you are not alright Missy. Just sit down for a while, if you still feel sick I'll take you to the nurse Kay?" He told her, leading her back to her sit.

He wanted to take her to it anyway but can't due to the class. The teacher was quite a stickler to the rules and won't let anyone leave for a good while. But that won't stop himhif she get any worst.

Arkian quickly kicked his chair backwards and stood up as he saw Kasai stumble back and apparently lose balance. It was good Chronus was there was catch her, the tiled floors wouldn't have been too kind to a person when it comes to falling onto them. They caught the attention of most of the class at her sudden fall, and it wouldn't be long until the teacher came along. He saw that they were about to leave the class, it would be a bit problematic for the homeroom teacher they have now to not be informed, she was already one when it came to throwing tantrum and exerting authority like a tyrant. Sure, Kasai would be dismissed but Chronus would probably get in trouble for leaving class, and eventually it would lead up to the teacher herself getting punished for this.

But Arkian wanted to resolve this in a neutral manner, without either side, his acquaintance and friend, or the horrible teacher eventually getting them in trouble just to get herself in trouble. "A good distraction... let me see..." he whispered as he looked around the classroom. His eyes then met his own desk, his homework and notes on it. He suddenly got an idea, a bit conflicted but he'll be damned if unnecessary drama got in the way. "Sorry Mister Y, I'll come back to find your killer, and cause of death, but for now-" the edge of this book and closed it, using a light variation of his "Mana Blast" spell to ignite the edge of the book as he flung it out the window and into a nearby tree. Hopefully not most of the class saw him do it, they were all fixated on Chronus and Kasai. Arkian quickly acted like did nothing, or more so- saw nothing. He waited for a while until they eventually exited the classroom, and turned around to the window.

"Hey, that tree seems to be smoking." He says, though it had an unconvincing tone as Arkian wasn't give it his all when it comes to his acting skills, he was able to attract some attention to it. "Hey, there really is some smoke-" other students peered through the window and behind each other to see. In just a second or so, the book itself caught ablaze, causing the leaves on the tree to fuel the flame. It wouldn't be enough to start a fire but it would be enough to cause a distraction from Kasai and Chronus. The teacher would soon arrive, she too would be heading towards the window to see what the commotion was about when she arrives. Arkian took advantage and exited before she entered, heading down the hallways to the Nurse's office.

Kasai was too dazed to even know what was going on. All she knew was that she couldn't stand and everything sounded like really big sound reducing earmuffs were placed on her ears. All she could really do was lay her head on the desk and try to sleep it out for now, not hard considering she couldn't keep her eyes open.

She felt like she'd been frozen then microwaved and even that was an understatement. She moved her arms to cover her eyes from the light that was bugging her and groaned slightly between heavy slow breaths.

every so often she'd open her eyes to see what was going on, but it'd be for only a moment before she ended up sub-unconscious again.

"This...hurts..." She managed to speak out quietly from under her arms. She was suffering from whatever bug she caught. She was breathing heavily and each one could be heard by anyone sitting near her.

So she had just ended her scedule for the day, but she still had a few patients that needed treatment, nothing urgent, she came strolling trough the classroom corridors since this path cut at least five minutes of walking, she was not wearing her regular maid costume at the moment, she had already changed into her nurse costume when nobody had been looking she could have added.

She then saw someone leaving a class room that she knew very well, he had after all insisted to "adopt" her Master?! had the class already ended, no that was not it, he was carrying someone? she indetified it as Kasai, she did not seem all right. what`s wrong with this girl? she place her arm on her forehead. She is burning up, her fever is pretty high, fourty degrees, Master i could take her to the infarmary immidietly She said knowing that she could run faster than chronus could, it would be the fastest method. The infarmary was not exactly close here after all, about fifteen minutes worth of walk, she could make that in five minutes.

'Well that was good luck.' Chronus smile to himself, as his escape the classroom with Kasai in his arms. The nurse office is fifteen minutes away and her temperature is getting worst. Luckily, he saw one of his classmate did something to make the tree catch on fire.

Yet before he could make any good head way to it, a voice stop him for a bit. The first thought was a teacher or prefect caught him, but as he turn around he saw it was somebody he know.

"Hello, Jean." He greeted, listing to what she had to say. It is ture that she could get their faster then him, but he was quite uneasy trusting Kasai to anyone in this state. He wasted a few second think about it before handing her to Jean.

"I'll be right behind you, please hurry ahead."

Sneaking around the hallways was something Arkian didn't do in a very long time, not every since duty called in the past. He didn't sneak around, rather than walk in the opening when he'd have a good explanation, it being that a "tree was on fire so he was going to infirmary to make sure a friend was okay." He probably won't need to use it, it doesn't seem like any said "hallway monitors" are around at the moment, 'did the fire on the tree really draw that much attention?' he thought to himself.

He didn't meddle around with light steps, they were more akin to somewhat of a jog, Arkian took the upper staircase, seemingly taking a detour, heading in the opposite direction of them to take another flight of stairs. If he remembered correctly the infirmary was around the path he was headed, marked with a red sign on the door and label above the door for visual signs. Arkian seemed to have arrived quicker than the other two, as he looked around he could not see Chronus or Kasai. Though the detour Arkian had taken looked longer, it was actually closer to the infirmary, the only difference in speed being how much staircases one would need to traverse.

His only other guess than that would be to check inside. He opens the door to the infirmary, and steps inside, seeing neither of them, he walks in and looks around for a to see if he can find one of the medical staff members, probably the usual nurse, and give her a heads up on Kasai's arrival.

She had already made her calculations, fifteen floors above that's where the infirmary was, using her quick thinking she also notified the personell working there, there was an emergency, trough her mental network connecting them was no chore. And told them trough a computer message that she would be there with the patient in less than five minutes, that required her to take an optional route though.

Meanwhile outside Martel was enjoying herself in the green house tending to the greenery, plants needed affection and care to prosper after all, then came a rather crude sound, it almost scared her, followed by a horrible smell... smoke? She could hear the tree her brother in pain, as she ran outside she saw a small flicker of fire had caught the trees lower branches. Withouth really thinking she casted her magic, Ariel i call upon thee summoning something looking like a mermaid from a small pond of water. Execpt that she was floating in mid air.

The creature before her had scales, something looking like fins and long purple hair, small swirls of water ran around her in a circle like pattern, in her right hand she was holding onto something that looked like a sword that too made of water. For a moment Martel had forgotten her attitude for despite being one of the summon spirits that she had spent the longest of time with she was not exactly one that was easy to please.

What the hell is this? how many times do I have to tell you not to summon me from a god damn pond? not even a goldfish would be pleased with this!!! She sounded like she was in foul mood today, despite that she knew very well what she was getting involved with, there was no way she could ignore this even if it meant upsetting her long time comrade. Please Ariel could you put out that fire? She looked back at the tree that had caught on fire, and she totally freaked out. IS THIS WHY YOU SUMMONED ME??!! someone caught your big brother on fire and you had the balls to ask me to put it out?!? for crying out loud your pathetic, if Kratos saw you weeping like that he would be ashamed to call you his pupil, you know! Tsh With a simple swirl of the sword a massive pillar of water formed from the ground surging up like a massive geysir to put out the flames in a single instant flooding the classroom and the entire floor in a single attack with a massive burst of water. Hell yeah, when im done with this your gonna be sorry! Martel was overjoyed but also in big trouble, she too had been caught in the burst of water and was now tangled up in the very tree she had urged to protect, tangled up in vines she struggled to get loose.

I wont fail you Master she said as she carefully picked up kasai from chronus care, she had barely had the time to start running [with kasai on piggyback] when the building started to shake. whats going on? she wondered when suddenly and out of the blue a massive draft of water started to pour out from the very classroom that chronus had attended not two minutes earlier, Jean did not know what or why this was happening and she was not planning on finding out, she had a very special mission to complete, no matter what.

As she picked up the pace, she was running as fast as her small feet could take her, she wanted to worry about chronus, oh she wanted to but he was strong a little water could never hurt the man. [at least not to her knowledge] She quickly shook her worries and bolted down the hallway however rather than taking the stairs up to the next floor she passed them, and continued blindly towards the window at the end of the hall, she crashed trough the window keeping an eye on any threatening shards of glass with her eyes, wiped any shards of glass that could potentially hit Kasai with her free hand. Having propelled herself into the air she landed gracefully on one of the many branches of the great tree and continued running up along the branch, and then jumping from branch to branch higher and higher, seeing Martel in the tree she allowed herself to ponder what the hell was going on out here but only for a moment, for she was too preoccupied to get down to even notice her.

Soon she landed in trough the infirmarys open window. Setting Kasai down carefully on the prepared bed before she along with the other nurses started to try and figure out what was wrong with her. Before she could rest she had to take care of her she had to. She had focused on her work so much she did not even notice Arkian being there. The antibiotics don't seem to have any effect on her, try Karotika, or Folsom we have to figure out whats wrong with her. Should you not rest? your bleeding It was true she was bleeding a small scar on her face trickled with blood, another scar on her forehead that bled slightly over her left eye which made it hard to see. And a few others on her limbs that she had used to protect Kasai from the shards of glass that had rained down on them. There was not a single shard of glass that had reached Kasai.

This is nothing, don't worry about me, lets just figure out whats wrong with her. She had placed a wet towel on Kasais forehead to try and cool down her fewer. She noticed a few shards of glass had stuck themselves into her body, along her thights, as well as on her shoulder, she pulled them loose and placed them on the counter.

Kasai didn't really remember the rest of the way to where they were going. Probably because her eyes were closed so it was really a mentally short trip for her.

After what felt like hours though she did finally wake up. To see doctors. Which made her freak out and sit straight up pretty quickly in which she groaned and put her hand on her head. "Oh my god this is the worst i've ever been" she thought "H-Hey, is this r-really necessary for a silly little b-bug...?" she stammered. She looked around to see where she was. The infirmary.

She then saw Chronus and Arkian. Did they really go out of there way to help her out? "Hey..uh you didn't have to do that both of you..but thanks anyways" She said to them.
"And Chronus, sorry for falling for you--" She stopped herself mid sentence with the most confused and "Oh god I messed up" face. At this point she was thankful she had a fever. "I-I-I mean i'm sorry i fell for you--I MEAN!--" She laughed and rubbed her head in embarrassment "I'm sorry I fell ON you!" after that she felt weak again and just let herself fall onto the pillow so she wouldn't pass out again.

This wasn't the first time she'd probably been deluded because of a fever however. Before she came to the academy she must've had one like..once or twice a year. However ever since she came to the academy her fevers were almost unrecognizable to anyone except herself and she thought maybe the new area was helping her out...nope.
"Heheh...this hurts..." she spoke up after a minute or so, though quiet, was still audible.

Seeing that Jean was taking off faster than he could follow, Chronus decided to slow down just a bit. It was a big mistask. With one look, he race off to the stairs, hopefully before the water reachs him. It was not ment to be. By the time he made it to the stairs to get him to the next floor, his lower half was soak to the bone.

Luckliy he was a fire mage, and one with quite the good control. For when he got to the door to the infirmary, there where no clue to what had happen. Jean was with the doctors, helping them bring down Kasai tempture while Arkian was waiting by thr side. Seeing that she was in good hands, he went to a chair closer to Jean. Not before he say his thank tho.

After a while, when most of the doctors left, her eyes finally open and she join the living world. His checks burn slightly as her words reisgter, a small smile came out before a sense of worry kill it.

'Please no, dont tell me....'

A shiver went up Arkian's spine. He felt unease for some reason as he spoke to the nurses in the room about Kasai, pausing mid-sentence as the pillar of water hit the building from outside. Luckily the water didn't affect the nurses office, it being a floor or more below the current level they were on. He continued with "Her conditions seems to include slight lost of consciousness, intense heat and weakened bodily control. It may or may not a common fever. She did show signs of them that did elude to-" All of a sudden, the familiar green haired maid entered the room though the window, carrying Kasai with her back. "They're here." he pointed to them to alert the nurses and other medical members he was talking to. He saw Jean operating along with the nurses, with a bits of cuts and shards in her, and judging from her dialogue, she did not care about herself nor the pain. It was just her back a few months ago, she didn't seem to care about the slight cuts she inflicted upon herself back then. Her injuries didn't look severe, but it seems like something that would hurt a simple person at first glance.

He then stepped in besides the other medical team, saying "Try using anti-pyretics if the antibiotics don't have an effect. It's better to lower the temperature then evaluate the situation." He heard the door behind him open, glancing over his shoulder and seeing Chronus in the corner of his eyes. Kasai seemed to have noticed both of them as she proceeded to thank him. He stood next to Chronus, noticing darker shades on his dampened (but not drenched) lower leggings. "You look a bit troubled, what happened back there?" before stepping away from the others to go outside to check. Stepping outside of the infirmary, he jogged to the staircases to the floor below to check, only to find it wet all over as if a tsunami had just hit the island. Despite not being aware of the cause for this, Arkian could not help but feel at least a bit of this was his fault...

As he came back and stepped into the infirmary, he noticed a strange look on Kasai's face as he said "Please no, don't tell me..." Arkian walked up behind him, and said "Anything wrong with her?" as he was unaware of the situation, he walked over and looked at Kasai who looked as if she was fast asleep, but he could hear he muttering something. "You know it's a bit strange you got sick, given that we usually get the sea breeze most of the time we go outside." Arkian took a seat on one of the empty metal stools in the infirmary. "We don't really seem to be different in this case. I get sick all the time, even when I step outside I sudden feel like I almost died, ha." he tried to humor her as they waited her, but afterwards he would keep quite. One thing Arkian was worried about would be getting scolded for missing class. Chronus, Kasai or the teacher wouldn't be the ones in trouble in the end if this whole charade got found out, it would be him who would have to answer for what happened. Little did he know though, his class was probably dismissed by a certain force of nature, if you will.

Say where does it hurt? Martel asked as she stood outside the window. I have now administered the anti-pyretics it should bring down her fewer a bit, Kasai have you suffered from these kind of fewers often its important if you could tell us...

Martel jumped inside trough the window and approached the group, brushing aside some leaves from her hair. Forgive me if im interrupting but i could not help but overhear your conversation, its a good thing that you met Kasai-chan when you did Jean, you have been a big help, but look at you your all beat up let me- No my wounds can wait, compared to Kasai`s these are nothing Martel looked at Jean a bit suprised before she closed her eyes for a moment. Then we better hurry up and heal her, tell us kasai its important, do you know if you have been exposing your chest to the tropical sun anytime in the past few weeks or so? Jean put the wet blanket on her forehead again since she still had fewer, jean seemingly more determined than ever to cure her patient.

Kasai heard Martel speak, it took a few seconds for her to decipher the words in her head. "Just..Just my head, that's all.." she said. She soon heard another one of the...teachers? nurses? her brain was a bit jumbled from the fever at the moment. "I get sick pretty often...t-though this is the first time in a while I got a bug this badly...and for the sun thing..no i haven't.."

She thought of sitting up again but considering her state...maybe it wasn't a great idea. The anti-pyretics were making her feel a bit tired as well and it wouldn't be a good idea to accidentally fall asleep sitting up. Was the antibiotic in needle form? if that was the case she was surprised she hardly recognized it considering her "small" needle phobia.

In the end, she did sit herself up slightly, but only enough if that she did end up blacking out she'd still technically be "laying down" Kasai laughed slightly at Arkians mention of how he gets sick most the time too. Even with the sea air. She glanced over to Chronus who looked a little...embarrassed? he himself did seem to be a bit red-faced himself... "oh.." she thought in some sort of realization. She slumped slightly and ended up slowly falling asleep.

He close his eyes and sit back into his chair, thoughts going back and forth in his mind. The fact the she like him didn't bother him at all, the fact he felt something for her was a different story. The way he acted around student was a mask, and somehow that mask was becoming a face.

Jean and Michael where most likely one to see his true self but even then it wasn't everything. How would Kasai act if she knows? Does it even matter? 'It just a crush,' he told himself, 'nothing will come out of it.' Yet his eye refuse to move from Kasai.

The mechanic told them that the fever was breaking, it was just over a hundred degree Fahrenheit. And as she settle down for a nap, he finally took in the room. The room was mostly empty now with only them and.. 'When did Ms. Martel came in?' He released with a touch of anger. He wasn't over the whole eat and spit from summons.

"Jean, she in the safe zone now, come over so I can see to your injuries."

Chronus seemed a bit troubled. Thought it didn't show to such an extent, it was at least hinted as he saw down and seemingly contemplated something. That's what Arkian got from his actions as he looked at him for a moment when sat down. Arkian's initial guess was that it was just his way of showing relief for Kasai. It made Arkian a bit happy, to know that Chronus was that sort of person. He was completely unaware of the actual Chronus, so far only seeing the facade he put up.

He shook a bit at Martel's sudden voice. He turned over to the window as she jumped in, it seemed a bit strange for it to be a way of entrance for seemingly good-willed individuals around the academy, but it shouldn't have been much of a surprise or a hard guess since Jean herself did it, and she is mostly around Martel too, so that was probably a correlation around that. He just kept his mouth shut as they spoke to each other. He did nothing but kept his eyes on Kasai as he slouched forward on the metal stool, on hand against his face as he waited there. His own eyes slowly start to close, and shut as waits there silently. As Martel turned to speak to to Kasai, Arkian did the classical slight shushing with his finger to his own lip, "Shhhhh. Madam Martel, she's currently asleep, it's best we let her have her rest." He raised his head and sat up straight.

He opens his eyes then turns to Jean, paying attention to the wounds on her. He sighed, wondering what would be a good way to convince her. A sudden realization hit him, he wanted to snap his figures, but he held his composure and did not show it. He kept a calm tone as he spoke to Jean, to avoid waking Kasai up. "Jean, you should really treat yourself before it gets worse. If your wounds stay like that, they'll get infected and it'll hurt your performance in the future."

I see Martel responded to Kasai`s answer, she closed her eyes and raised her left arm over Kasai`s head when she had fallen asleep, ignoring Arkian for the moment. She was quickly reassured that the girl was going to be all right, all she needed now was a good night`s rest. She then blinked when she saw Arkian in the room. Arkian-kun when did you get here? She having lowered her voice, her face fell into a smile. Say you didn`t happen to see someone lighting that tree on fire a while back? She was aware that it happened during class, she was also quite aware who was in that classroom earlier.


Jean went silent, she still watching over kasai, listening to both Chronus and Arkian. She hated to admit it but they where both right, there was nothing more she could do for Kasai even if she had gladly taken her place, she knew very well that she could get infected, and sometimes she forgot that she was no longer immortal, or maybe she did not care. Such was the prize for a heart...

Ah... your right... im being.... selfish again.... ill be there... in just a bit. She said as she switched the towel on Kasai`s forehead and replaced it with a fresh one. She then went and closed the window to stop any drafts from getting to Kasai that could possibly make her more sick. In order... for Kasai... to rest... i would ask... everyone except... chronus-sama... to leave... please? She spoke carefully almost whispering her voice, and managing her words carefully, pausing quite often between her words because of this. While she showed empathy in her intentions she also showed hesitation, more so than earlier.

Martel could have studied Jean for a while since she had changed such an amount in such a short time. Martel was almost tempted to offer Jean her "special" healing technique as a joke but it would have ruined the moment so she thought better than to do that. Martel nodded to chronus and Jean, she caught Arkian by the shoulder dragging him out of the infirmary. When she got out she went ahead and asked the same question she had asked earlier. Now about that fire that happened outside...

Why am i trembling? why am i sweating? Jean avoided looking at him in the eyes when she got closer to chronus Say master... why do people die?

Kasai was dreaming again. More like a fever dream, but her problem with fever dreams were that they were both abstract and scary.

She seemed to be back at home. With her Brother outside.Her parents may have been out or somthing. Not that this bothered her so she went along with the dream. "Kasai! Kasai, they're hurt. I know he isn't a mage but--" Atisuto was helping a young teenager with short black hair who was wearing a blue shirt and a pair of trousers with grey trainers. He was holding his head. "A-Ah! say no more! i'll get the bandages!"

What was a few minutes later in the dream kasai was sitting in front of the kid with the bandages. "Here, let me help you--" The kid jumped up in a scared manner. "N-No! don't touch me! I...I'LL PUNCH YOU! YYAAAA!" the kid did try to punch her until his leg made a crack sound and now he was on the floor yelling in pain.

Kasai sighed as she put the bandage around his leg. "You know I have no intention on harming you" she said to him. "But...aren't you a mage? aren't mages supposed to be uh...monstrous? Yo can't expect me to believe all mages are fluffy hearted who heal random brats who are abandoned like me. Am I dead?" the kid threw all sorts of questions at Kasai causing her to laugh.

"WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING!? he yelled. "Hah, i'm sorry. I just think that you are very cool" Kasai responded. The kid flinched at the word Cool. "C-C-COOL!? Girl, I am many things, but i am not COOL!"

Kasai pondered for a while, she then spoke up again "Well..my family will indeed take you in as one of us. We will take good care of you. I promise!"

"....Really?"
"Because that isn't howI REMEMBER IT!"

The scene suddenly shifted and the same kid was gripping onto kasai with deep cuts and stab wounds in him "YOU LET ME DIE!" the voice was more demonic like now causing kasai to stumble backwards out of both surprise and absolute fear.

"KASAI! KASAI HELP ME! I CAN'T FEEL ANYTHING!!" the entire scene shifted to nothing but a void leaving behind a very shocked, very panicked Kasai.

"WAKE UP! KASAI, IT'S JUST A NIGHTMARE THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF A SWEET DREAM!"

"T-This is a dream!? I-I-I'd very much like to wake up now!"

Within a matter of seconds Kasai had woken up very suddenly with a loud panicked,scared and disgruntled grunt and sat up very quickly more than quite shaken. She bought her knees up to her and rested her head on them, still shaking.

why did she have to have that nightmare...?

Chronus eyes follow Martel and Arkian out of the room, his mind still in trumoil from what Kasai said. The sound of the click of the door closing finally got him to move from his chair. He took a quick look at Kasai, assuring himself that she was find, before walking to a new bed.

After grabing some items and disinfection, he turn to face Jean, who looks worst then she claims. As soon as he relize it, words of punishment almost slip out of his lips. Only to be shock slince from the question she ask. His mouth open and close, words form and fall, he has no idea what to say.

A breath of air escape from him in the form of a sigh, as he gentle push Jean to site on the bed. As carefully as he could, he pull pices of glass from her skin. Then after he imply the disinfection and wrap the badages, he sit down stareing at her.

It took him a good moment for any answer to come, as his own experince of death was ussuly the result of him being the excutionor. I don't known Jean. I could make up a lot of reason or quote many books of that subject but then i'll be lieing to you. I don't known why people die, what i do known is that they do. So we must enjoy the time we have with thoese we care for."

'And it ture, maybe he should let them into his heart? But it would only bring hurt to them and to him. Jean might be okay right it, but Kasai? She just a normal girl for the most part.'

Speaking of Kasai, a grunt sounded out from her. Her body was shaking and she was curl up on her bed. 'Nightmare?' A look of concern cross his face, he more before his mind could chaught up. A hand grab his MP3, droping a scarf onto the floor, smoothing music play out from his headphone, letting the sound fil the room.

He sit behind her and hug....

Arkian shifted around bit on the metal stool he sat on, listening passively as the conversation went on around the others in the room, but soon it was about time to return to class, and Kasai looked like she had enough eyes watching over her.  He slowly rose up from his seat still looking in Kasai's general direction, careful not to make creeks or any other noises to disturb her slumber. Afterwards he glanced over to Jean, a slight smile on his face in seeing a change in her attitude towards herself. He wanted to say something to her about it, but just did a single and silent nod in great approval of this.  He made a slight change in his mind, about to speak, saying "Jean, I'm h-" At the same moment, he was grabbed by Martel and dragged out of the room by his coat's shoulder strap.

He just kept a bit silence as he was dragged backwards by the women he highly respected at the Academy. He just remained quiet with the same smile on his face until she asked him about something that occurred not very long ago. The mere mention of 'fire' and 'outside' made him shiver for a while, but he wasn't going to lie for his own sake.  If already decided from the start that if he was caught, he'd be responsible for it. Even if it wasn't going to burn the tree down, there wasn't no sugarcoating it when it came to him. It was still a hastily thought up action, but it was still wrong, he realized, and should not be excused from this. He did it respectfully as he could, maintaining eye contact with Yggdrasil and calmly said "It was my doing. The fire on the tree was used to distract everyone in the classroom so no one would pay attention to us leaving." He slapped his hands against the sides of his coat and lightly bowed towards Martel, "I accept punishment for whatever consequences arose from my action." He lifted his head back up with a remorseful look on his face.

However in just a few seconds, behind him he heard loud noises of panicking, sounding like they came from Kasai. He quickly turned around and opened the door. It almost broke with his strength of an Adept he had used on it, the hinges did their jobs well however. His eyes darted around the room he was just in, seeing Jean at first, and then seeing Chronus comforting Kasai while soothing music filled the room. Arkian calmed himself, he was startled when he heard Kasai screaming all of a sudden. He barged in with the look of concern on his face, jaw slightly ajar and eyes focused as he stood in the doorway. Smoothly, he brought his breath back to a normal pace and straighten up his back. He took glances around the room again, blinking once before he reached for the door handle. "Everything's fine." He thought to himself as he slowly shut the door. "Everything's always been fine this entire time." He turned back his teacher after all of this, with his hands behind his back and stance completely straight. He cleared his throat, and resumed with a smile on his face. "So, Mistress Martel, where were we?"

She may not have admitted it, but she wanted to have chronus closer to herself even if just for a moment, she heard Arkian say something to her but he never managed to finished the sentence. Which was a shame, and yet Jean did not think for one second that someone would actually "care" for her other  patch her wounds. She listened to his words about "death" a concept that until now had been quite vague to her. She was no exactly impressed what Chronus had to say but that last sentence got her attention. "So we must enjoy the time we have with thoese we care for." He had said, she looked up to chronus for the first time since entering this room and she wanted to say something.

But she managed neither say or express her feelings before Kasai woke up in cold sweat, Jean tensed up as Chronus went to her side leaving her to tend to her own fate. For a moment she wished she had not asked the question when she did, she could have done something else. She bit her lower lip so hard that it started to bleed. She jumped off the bed that chronus had perched her up on earlier and was about to leave the nursing station when Arkian barged inside almost running into her in the process, Jean walked away not making eye contact with either Arkian nor Martel.... It was the first time she that she did not really have a clear destination.

It was almost too much for her to handle, the pain that she was experiencing from the shards of glass or when she was bullied and beaten half to death was nothing in comparision to this pain that echoed at the bottom of her ever sinking heart. She almost wished she could have died in that very moment at least she would not have to experience this strange feeling. She was suprised that her heart was still beating despite everything that had happened. From an outside perspective it was not hard to tell how she felt.

Martel had discussed with Arkian about his methods she felt compelled to punish him for his actions, however since the young man seemed more than regretting his actions and altrough his actions did have a fair point, he could have tried a more subtle approach like for instance asking the teacher to let them go for a moment. Martel had remained where she was despite Kasai`s screaming, knowing well that she had everyone that she needed in that room to comfort her.

.... There is no need for an punishment Arkian, no one got wounded and your actions where to protect your comrades, even so resorting to using fire is a bit much, next time i would suggest asking the teacher for assistance, its not that hard, they want to protect their students as much as you want to protect your friends i ensure you!

She saw Jean leaving the nurses office with genuine concern. Jean are you not supposed to rest? Jean did not seem to hear her words, as she kept walking towards the stairs.

Kasai sighed as she lifted her head from her legs...her mind had trailed off until she felt someone embrace her..Chronus that is. That was when her mind was going both oh my god and I really needed a hug thanks.

She laughed slightly but it was clear it was to hide the fact she may or may not have been crying "Sorry..i didn't mean to worry you.." she said before putting her hand on her head.She was burning again. That normally happened after she had a fever induced nightmare or something among said lines.

Maybe it was the music or her state of mind but within a few minutes she had fallen asleep..or fell unconscious again. She didn't know.

His eyes snap up to the door as Arkian brust into the room, look like they didnt went that far away when Kasai started to scream. After a small staring contest, in which he could die in embressment, Arkian left once more.

He took a look at jean, only to relise she wasnt in the room at all. He was only slightly worry, she was strong and would find him if needed. Finally, Kasai stop shaking and spoke up, "Its okay, just rest." He told her, removing himself to let her do so.

He would sit by her side til it time to leave.
